Am I wrong for being freaked out by my husband’s AI use
So here’s something I never thought I would be an issue in a relationship. I (31F) told my husband (30M) I was bummed I missed my therapy appointment. His serious response was to suggest I talk to a chatbot instead. So I’m coming to you, hopefully *real human beings*, for this. I feel like don’t even understand my husband any more when I talk to him. He spends HOURS a day talking to Gemini, ChatGPT, some others. He has started using the same generic phrasing as AI. I feel like I am in a chatgpt ad in my own home. This is a real sentence that came out of his mouth the other day: “if it wasn’t for Gemini, I wouldn’t have known to go to the ER.” (He burned his hand while cooking). What???
It’s genuinely disturbing to me, and even more so that he doesn’t see this as an issue. It makes me feel uncomfortable wondering how much of our marital/interpersonal issues and conversations he is outsourcing to a computer. Am I insane??? Or is this insane?? Is anyone else experiencing this? I was going to include screenshots of the conversation but it wouldn’t let me for some reason.
TLDR; I feel insane because AI has somehow become a daily part of my marriage
