Exposed beam in ceiling - cure?
I'm currently browsing around for a house and found something that I like. It has most of the Feng Shui qualities I like such as door facing a favorable direction (based on Kua number), flow, and other elements. The only negative side is that there is a single cement beam in the main bedroom which I know is big "no-no" in Feng Shui. I do think one would be able to remodel this and put up a false ceiling to cover the beam - would that be a 100% cure? Would hiding a negative element but enough or the fact that there is a beam anyway bad? The beam would not be at the head of the bed but would chop off the foot of the bed if that makes sense.
Also, is an exposed beam as bad as a house facing a Chueh Ming (total loss) direction?
