What are buyers thinking right now in the Kelowna market? (Frustrated seller perspective)
Hey everyone,
I’m looking to get some genuine insight into what buyers are experiencing/thinking in the central Okanagan right now.
We listed our 5-bed, 3-bath family home at $899k. In our neighborhood, similar style homes are sitting around $950k, so we felt we priced it aggressively and attractively from day one to draw people in. We even did over $50k in premium renovations recently (including finishing the lower level).
Despite that, we are getting barely any foot traffic or viewing requests. It feels like we are offering a great value, but we aren't "attracting the bees" at all.
Are buyers out there right now just completely tapped out on borrowing power, or are you guys sitting on the sidelines intentionally waiting for benchmark prices to drop further?
Would love to hear from anyone actively house hunting or anyone who has recently bought. What is making you look past a listing or hesitate to book a viewing right now? No sugar-coating needed, just want to know what’s actually happening out there from your perspective!
Thanks.
