CPU for rtx 3060?

Dedicated sim PC on a budget. 1080p high/ultra target. New ryzen 5 5500 with stock cooler ($90) or used 5 5600x with stock cooler ($150). Bottleneck calculator says they both pair fine. But AI says the Pcle 3.0 5500 could leave performance on the table opposed to the Pcle 4.0 5600x. GSPro will be my main software.

CPU for my rtx 3060 golf sim?

Basically the title. Building a budget 1080p pc dedicated to just the golf sim. GPU is a 3060. CPUs I’m looking at are either a brand new 5 5500 with cooler ($90), or a used 5600x with cooler ($150). Sim Software is GSPro. Bottleneck calculator says the 5500 pairs fine, but AI says the 5500 being PCLe 3.0 will leave a bit to be desired vs the PCle 4.0 of the 5600x.

Sam Snead is fixing my game.

Just watched a 45 minute video of Sam Snead talking about his swing and I swear it’ll take 10 strokes off my game (20+ hdcp). With just a half hearted effort I went into my garage and started hitting on the sim. His forward push method has my swing feeling more connected than ever, and his overlapping grip with the trail hand trigger finger has allowed me to still swing fast without gripping as hard, and also tightened my dispersion, especially with driver which as been abysmal lately. This all happened in only half an hour. I hate that it took me this long to find his technique. I can only hope spending some real time training it will really open up my game.

Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Help identify please?

Found this growing in my yard. Central Texas with a ton of rain lately. Has a soft velvety texture. I’m assuming it’s some kind of fungi. Also, I have a dog. Could this be poisonous for him?

Short readings with square.

I know I know, everyone gets humbled when they see their real numbers on a LM vs what they thought in real life. But I’d really appreciate help trouble shooting.

Problem:

- everything reads about 20% short of real life.

Conditions:

- Real life elevation about 700ft.

- Night time. No sunlight.

- Garage with not great kinda dim light.

- Used TP5, Square, and regular balls. No change.

- Monitor not perfectly even with hitting surface but nothing crazy. maybe a 1/4”-1/2” higher. I’ve also tested it sitting lower on the ground next to my mat and same result.

Comparisons:

- I’m a high handicap with good speed and compression, just poor consistency.

- I’ve been to a fitter before and recorded 7i speeds around 90mph.

- A well struck 7i carries about 170yd for me.

The LM is recording carry around 140yd with ball speeds around 100mph. If I really step on it, about 150yd. This 20ish percent drop is mostly consistent for all my clubs.

I was expecting to see numbers probably lower than what I give myself in real life but this seems drastic.
I’ve been to the range enough and played enough real world golf and hit enough greens with gps confirmed distances to have an idea of what my numbers are. Just the other day, stuck a pin at 135 after with my Pw with a well struck ball, even caught a small twig off a tree. Square would have had that same shot reading about 110.

Did anyone have this issue, I’m assuming it’s my set up not letting it read well?

I appreciate any advice or shared experiences.

Waiting on Square golf verification email.

Picked up a second hand square golf home LM. Turns on and the driving range seems to work fine. However, I’m trying to make an account and am waiting for the verification email. It’s not in my junk/spam/trash either. How long did you wait for the email?

Projector thoughts?

First time sim build. These are super cheap for what seems like a good projector. Any experience with these? Any reason why this wouldn’t work well?
