Scar is healing well… Very pleased with the outcome.
Surgeon recommended keeping a layer of Vaseline then a gauze wrap around it to protect the incision and promote healing. They recommend doing this for 4 weeks after. Seems to have worked well.
Update on day 10 post op. Things are looking good.
Recovery protocol was keeping it wrapped with a thing layer of Vaseline and gauze then a tighter wrap of Coban type stretchy wrap to keep everything protected.
I think the result is medium/low and fairly tight when hard. Not much movement in the skin at all anymore but not pulling on the stitches either.
Pleased with the outcome… 👍 Looking forward to getting the stitches out next week.
Update- The third night was ok and slept normally. Took the bandages off and had a shower to clean things off and I’m feeling good about the outcome already. Some bruises but overall I think the healing is going well. Result will be a medium/low and fairly tight cut I think 🍆✂️🍌
Got the big snip this afternoon. After thinking about it and wanting to be circumcised on and off for years I finally decided to go for it. Things are all wrapped up in bandages right now but I’ll share more details as the recovery goes along…not much to see at this point.
Pain and swelling aren’t too bad right now but from what I understand days 2 and 3 can be worse before they get better… feel great to have the anticipation behind me.
