Frozen juice as flavoring

Frozen juice as flavoring

I've been using this brand of frozen juice for a while in my 2nd ferments. I wish they had more flavors than the 3 I can find. It's hard to find pure juices without tons of extra sugar or corn syrup. As I was bottling up my last batch and glad I had just one more 1/4 cup to add to my last bottle, I realize this whole time and every time, I had been using it fully concentrated. Just left to melt and then measured out and put into the bottle. It's been pretty good, now I'm worried how this next batch will turn out if I dilute this to regular juice strength first. Guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks.

I forgot to add sugar (reposted because my comments didn't show up)

Yesterday I bottled a gallon that was probably over ready to bottle but Ive been busy. There was still about a gallon left, but I didn't have any more bottle ready. I brewed up a half gallon of tea and let it cool, then added it to the gallon I didn't bottle. Think afternoon I realized I forgot to add sugar to the tea, so I ran into the kitchen and added a half cup of sugar to about a cup of water and blended it to mix up since the water was cool and dumped it into the fermenter. It's making bubbles like I'm brewing beer now. All that blended O2 made that yeast really activate. it was almost 1/2 inch tall an hour ago. I just hope I didn't ruin anything.

10 days into my first batch

I started this with a store bought bottle. After a week it looked perfect so I dumped it into a half gallon jar with more tea and sugar to incrementally step up to a gallon. After 9 days, I thought it would be ready to go. I stuck in a straw to pull some out for a taste and boy was it sweet. Then I realized I used a whole cup of sugar for this half gallon. Ok, eventually it will eat up all the extra sugar.i guess. Then this morning I saw the Scooby was about a half an inch out of the kombucha, just hovering in mid air. I tasted it again, of course it's super sweet. Then the scoby falls to the bottom. No problem. Tonight I get home, it's now dangling at an angle from the top, the little scoby from the first tiny batch in the bottle has also floated to the top. Now it looks like it's going to make another scoby? I'm getting thirsty.... Still a while to go before I transfer everything to the gallon jar and add more tea it would seem.
