I’m playing with friends on an unmodded dedicated server. I’d like to use a few mods myself.

So far I’ve gotten one of the search function mods, lucky pal color reskin, perfect placement, and glider pal graphic to work.

I tried “Anti-phat” for base pal shrinking but that one didn’t seem to work. Anyone have any suggestions for shrinking base pals that would work on an unmodded server?

Any other mod suggestions that would be usable in this case are also appreciated.

PalWorld 1.0 came out yesterday so I decided to give that a try. I played maybe 4/5 hours so my experience is pretty limited on this but my god did it make me realize how useless Enshrouded NPCs are.

Hopefully Enshrouded does an update at some point that gives our little guys some use besides standing in our way and taking up a bed/additional housing space (and getting stuck on furniture).

The equivalent of camp NPCs in PalWorld have real functions; they farm resources, move them into storage, work the machines. It makes the camp feel alive.

Side suggestion: I love the way you can climb straight up (as long as you have the stamina) in PalWorld. It feels so much better than clunkily mountaineering with your pick axe. If they added that to Enshrouded (but only for breakable voxels) I think moving from A to B would be 100 times better.

Here’s a (failed) understanding I was witness to.

Years ago I was a waiter at a restaurant with mostly Latino staff. When they spoke to each other it was usually in Spanish.

One night we had a lady pay for her food then linger around the front door for a bit. The manager had rung her up after a minute or so of troubleshooting the computer/register first. At this location you paid up front at the register, not at your table.

The woman seemed strangely upset, then after a while she stomped up to the counter, called over one of the waiters, and angrily asked “What does puta mean!?”

“I’m sorry, what?”

“What does puta mean!?”

The waiter looks embarrassed and confused and said “It’s uh… Spanish for whore…”

“THAT’S WHAT I THOUGHT. SHE (points at the manager) called me a puta!”

After quite a bit of one sided arguing the manager realized that after the lady left she had said, in Spanish, to someone that she had issues with the computer or “la comPUTAdora”. The woman latched on to the one part of the word she understood, thought she had been called a whore, and went off lol

Unfortunately I can’t remember her reaction once they explained the mix up, but I’ll always remember her shouting at the waiter asking what puta means lol.

This is a story a friend told me. She’s a tomboy, a bit butch, not the kind of girl you’d see having a day at the salon. She also spends a lot of time outside and is a 2nd generation immigrant to parents who were born in Vietnam.

She had a cousin’s wedding come up and her mom guilted her into getting her nails done for the wedding. She goes to the salon by herself and the women at the salon start their usual chatter with each other.

The one doing her nails says, in Vietnamese, “Uh, these Filipino girls are so ugly with their dark skin.”

My friend says “Excuse me!? I’m Vietnamese and I understand what you’re saying.”

No one in the salon spoke a word after that lol. They finished her nails in total silence.
