Connection issues after changing modem
For years now, I have a Synology DS218 NAS in my home network and Kodi on several devices, to watch my movie collection. Everything always worked well.
This week, I changed ISP, got a new modem. Hooked the NAS up again (cable) and now I'm in trouble.
Had to change IP address, ok. Kodi can see the shared folders on the NAS (via NFS), but when I try to open one of the network locations, sometimes it works immediately and I can start playback of movies in all subfolders, no problem. Most of the time, though, Kodi keeps loading/hanging for minutes before it either finds the location or crashes. When I change from one location to another, again, it takes minutes or crashes.
This happens on all devices (Nvidia shield, laptop, Chromecast). The NAS is not being used by other people or devices, just Kodi. I didn't change any settings on the NAS, just the IP address has changed.
When I use my Windows laptop and explorer to navigate to the NAS, there is always immediately connection and playback, but when I use Kodi on that same laptop, I have the same issues as Kodi on all other devices, so there's something between Kodi and my NAS that's being weird, but I can't figure out what it is.
Deleted cache, deleted and remade connections, even re-installed Kodi. Still the same behaviour.
I already deleted and added locations again (which is also hit and miss, it either works directly or - most of the time - takes minutes/crashes to get connected.
I'm going nuts here, have been trying to get it fixed for two days and I'm starting to gnaw on my screens. Can anyone please help me?
