P&P “Shrine”

I wanted to share my little shelf dedicated to the 95’ adaptation. Just wanting to spread more love for this masterpiece ! ❤️
It’s the first tv show that I truly fell in love with, and I couldn’t help but collect different versions of the DVDs!
I focused on content when collecting, so each version is a bit different.
The Japanese edition includes Colin Firth’s interview in his Darcy attire. It’s the only dvd edition that has it (from my knowledge) There is also a photo gallery section in the menu screen, which I thought was pretty neat !
I became a big Firth fan after the show, so it made sense for me to buy it!!
The version on the very left has a booklet included (only reason why I bought it haha) It was a bit underwhelming since I thought it would have some more content.
However, the 10th anniversary edition is so nice!! It includes the making of P&P book as well as the DVDs with bonus content (interviews with actors but no Firth and Ehle, plus more documentary on the making) It was so lovely to watch and made me understand more how much passion and effort everyone put into the making of this adaptation !!
The remastered Blu ray & Dvd combo is my go to for actual viewing! It includes extra content such as the remaster featurette plus bonus commentary, but omits the part of the walk documentary (in the 10th anniversary edition)
And of course I had to include the book itself! It’s the Puffin in Bloom edition, and knew it was the one when comparing different versions haha
Just to note, all of the items were bought second hand (Ebay!), and I’m not promoting overconsumption! I love engaging with the content that I buy
If there’s any other content from the ’95 adaptation that I haven’t discovered yet, please let me know!! I’m thinking of picking up the soundtrack CD eventually, but that’ll be for the near future 💕
