I’ve noticed something kinda interesting. In most games that reuse the same map, like Spiderman 2/Zelda 2, I dont really feel that same sense of excitement or nostalgia when I return to the same location.

But with the Yakuza, every time I go back to Kamurocho, it doesn’t feel like “ugh, this place again.” It actually feels… comforting? Like with this newest trailer, I felt excited over seeing a city that we've been playing all these years, Im sure some people might feel this way as well.

How the hell does RGG Studio keep pulling this off while reusing the same map over and over while not getting boring?
