I was playing a game and wrecking the enemy team and their strange was just on my ass it was incredible. Floated to me like a vengeful angel to 1v1 me it was incredible. To top it all off at some point we each had one win and the area was being contested and I hyperfocused like crazy with helping my team instead of my ( for that match ) usual looking for my now arch nemesis strange to kill him first then the team. I don’t know where he was but he did something incredible where to get me out of my hiding spot behind some indestructible pillars dude put a portal above me and sent it right in front of his spawn. Shit confused the hell outta me and then after I realized what l just happened I was just further flying through it and looking in awe. Idk if you guys can choose to cancel your portals or if they close on a timer or death but if he had kamikazed himself to force close the portal or did it himself they would’ve won the game. I’m not even trying to brag it’s just it was so incredible and it’s been like 2 weeks and it’s still on my mind. I’ve gotten a lot of hours on iron man these past two seasons and fought many a strange but that guy was killing it.

Guys I swear Strange is genuinely bad right now. EVERY game I've seen him in Season 8 (GM - Cel) he gets totally randown.

I think its the current tank meta of brawl + dive tanks that he's struggling with. And his mobility feels powercrept.

Sup yall. This is my first post here and I joined cause I’m curious about how teammates react to your portals.

So yesterday I was playing a comp match on the spider islands map and it was our turn to attack. We couldn’t get past the flight of stairs before you turn the corner and we were down to 40 seconds left. I had just died so I was back in spawn, I looked around and saw two other teammates also respawning so I figured I should portal. It would take about 5ish seconds to walk to cart and if I did die again, it would take 10 seconds to respawn. So i assumed it would be to much of a risk to think I would have another shot to portal. Better be safe than sorry. One of my teammates proceeds to unmute and says “Why are we wasting our portal?” Surprisingly I’m able to bite my tongue and not say anything. Then we are able to capture the first point almost immediately after the portal.

So I guess my question is how often do yall get small comments like that questioning your portals? I usually like placing my portals low to the ground and facing away from the enemy so we can jump in and not be shot at. I understand that not every single one of my portals will be perfect and I will in fact mess some up but I am curious on your guys input on the situation above. Also I feel like a lot of times some teammates believe that a portal equals a fight win. Sometimes the enemy team does a great job defending the portal.

I play on PS5 and my current rank is D1. Maybe that matters when it comes to interactions lmao. I’m also a lord strange and I just got the warrior badge.

Also feel free to comment any portal tips or even explain why portal might’ve not been the best decision. I’m very open to learning. Thanks I’m advance!
