Posts like this come up over and over from new users. We don't want them to drown out discussion by members who stick around and have more specific things to say. Headline posts like this will be removed and directed here for talking in the comments. Please make sure to read the community rules, and welcome. You can ask the above questions here.

Rule for: What are furries/why are furries/I'm a new furry/I want to meet furries posts.

These are repetitive, and can drown out less generic discussion. A rule is being considered to limit these to one thread.

There's been an influx of new posts that are often asking questions, rather than making points. This isn't r/ askfurry, but it's a reasonable use.

Some new flair categories were just added to help separate types of posts:

News story, Promotion, Request, Critical review, Discussion topic

Do you see any categories missing?

Please pick ones that fit posts. For example, don't try to get around labeling something promotion by phrasing it as a question. Promotion is allowed if it's reasonably informative and not spam.

By the way, making media posts has now been disabled. A few of those started showing up and had to be removed so it will save work. Art or memes can be posted to many other places. Crossposting has also been disabled because most of that appears to select this community from a list without effort to check what it's for.
