Withdrawals
For context I’ve been on mirtazapine since 2022, 45mg dose. I gained crazy weight (about 25kg) my emotions were non existent I neither felt happy or sad no matter the situation.
I decided to quit cold turkey about 15 days ago (against my doctors advice) but I just wanted to get off this medication.
The first 7 days were ok no real extreme side effects. However for the last week or so the cramps and nausea I have is nothing like I’ve felt before. I have no appetite and even the smell of food make me feel like I’m going to throw up.
My sleep is fine if I don’t get cramps and other than that it’s really just the sweats and a bit of a shake in my hands which is manageable.
I know I kinda made my own bed by quitting cold turkey but if there’s anyone who has been through the same that could give me some thoughts on what to expect, I really don’t want to go back on the medication so any help would be greatly appreciated.
