Any interest in GNUStep/Cocoa-like web app development?

Long time GNUStep/Cocoa enthusiast. I don't like the Apple move to SwiftUI, and frankly developing for mac only is becoming less economically feasible. So im moving to the web and decided to build a framework that compiles Objective-C to web assembly. Its similar to Cappuccino but uses actual Objective-C and compiles to wasm, not Javascript.

I used Claude to port over a small Foundation and Runtime and then started implementing AppKit. I was also able to get rudimentary interface builder support (see the video).

Just curious if anyone else has ever wanted something like this.

I wanted a way to quickly revert the things I didn't like about Tahoe, so I created a macOS app called DeTahoe.

App Name: DeTahoe

Price: Free, open source

GitHub: https://github.com/Cocoawerks/DeTahoe

It reverts simple things: the excessive rounding of corners, the annoying sidebar, the menu item icons, and smaller window resize edges. Some of these changes are fixed in Golden Gate, but this app will be relevant for those on Intel machines.

It also bulk reverts Application icons that are trapped in a squircle on Tahoe (works for Apps in the Applications folder not installed via the Mac App Store).

Finally it will quickly install LaunchOS and place it on your dock - Launchpad brought back.

I have several Macs so made this to easily make the changes after a fresh Tahoe install. Hope others find is useful.

With these fixes, I don't mind the Liquid Glass anymore. Looking forward to Golden Gate, but will always think Sequoia as peak macOS.
