Can you guys explain me the descartes’s demon hypothesis?
What if an evil demon is deceiving me into believing this world exists?

I’m a third-year IITB student and recently joined an internship at an FMCG startup. I was excited initially, but after a few weeks I’m starting to feel that I’m not learning much.
I’m the only tech person there and most of my work involves building automation solutions. While the work gets done, I don’t have senior engineers around me to learn from, get code reviews from, or discuss technical concepts with.
The bigger issue is time. The internship takes up most of my day, and by the time I get back I’m too exhausted to focus on:
DSA and placement preparation
System design and software engineering fundamentals
AI/ML engineering concepts
Personal projects that could strengthen my resume
I’m worried that continuing this internship may cost me valuable preparation time for placements, but leaving it also feels risky.
Has anyone from IITB faced a similar situation? Looking back, would you prioritize an average internship or focused placement preparation and self-learning?
I'm a vibe coder and currently working as an intern in an FMCG company, few days ago two technical experts asked me some questions about my code, i literally didn't knew how code was working.
Thankfully it was gmeet and i opened the antigravity and started asking the claude there and read directly the output. I wasn't knowing the terms ( like monolith etc) and still my confidence while speaking was good and they were impressed😅😅
One of them was saying you have done a wonderful work.
Do you think this was i can go longer in this game?
