I am going to take bs eco at iit b this year, I know it’s a chill branch but is it true that you don’t get any benefits in finance or consulting roles. I doubt it a bit because whej I checked out the linkedin profile of the alumni mostly were involved in those only, is it better than the core branches or not

Joining IITB this year as UG, Metallurgy. Any advice from seniors before joining the institute would be helpful. Things to keep in mind before coming and how I should go about starting my first year in college.

I recently graduated got a 6-month SDE internship paying ₹25k/month with a performance-based PPO (I've heard around 80–90% get converted if they perform well). At the same time, I have an opportunity to take a teaching job in a Tier-2 city paying ₹50k/month. My family's financial situation isn't great, so the extra income would really help.

I'm not a pro coder—I started doing DSA because my friends did, but I eventually fell in love with solving problems. Should I take the internship and try for the PPO, or choose the teaching job and prepare for SDE off-campus interviews on the side? I'd really appreciate your advice.

I nearly got mauled by a group of dogs near h12 while walking alone and almost got bitten. I didn't run away, I stood my ground avoiding eye contact. One dog charges straight at me, thankfully I keep a taser on me at all times. I tased that dog and they all ran away

THIS WAS REALLY TRAUMATIZING FOR ME AND I CRIED.

I fricking hate dog lovers who try to defend these dogs. I love dogs tooo but hese agressive and gang attackers should be taken away.

How can I join swimming classes at IIT b? Also can I bring my own costumes or I need to buy those from there?

Which branch in IIT BOMBAY is less academic pressure and lenient and relatively lower attendance so that I can focus most of my time on other activities, like less academic pressure and can study for sem exams before 2 weeks and get minimum cgpa and full time focus on other activities

I'm joining IITB this semester. aur aane se pehle hi ek bohot bada fuck up ho gaya h. My flight is on 17th July, landing around 12.30pm. hostel walo ne bola h ki check-in sirf 20th July se hai. I booked the flight like a month ago so can't cancel or reschedule. And honestly I did mail Nd call the hostel, misunderstanding ho gyi they said aa sakte ho aap week pehle Tak.

I'm coming alone and I'm on a very tight budget. Hotels are out of question, hostels dekhe but samjh nhi aare cause female only are out of budget and mixed dorm I dunno thik rahega ya nhi T-T. Budget is tight af.

What should I do for this? Is there any chance ke hostel jaldi miljaye ya koi aur on campus temporary stay mil jaaye?? Cause booking sites dekh kr iit bombay ke pass wale hostels me 3 din rehna is just not in my budget for now. Need help bhai. Koi idea dedo.

I'm visiting my friend in Mumbai. She's currently an intern and she doesn't have an ID card. The professor she's interning under is not giving an outpass for her because of rain. Can anyone help with a female ID? It's been 3 years since I met her. Please help guys
