I end up waking up again and again and sweating because of which my sleep is hampered and it's causing me health issues. How do you manage the heat while sleeping?

I am a first year M.tech in EE department and she is in 5th year of dual degree in EE. First time I saw her in TA duty, she is so gorgeous and so intelligent I don't even have guts to speak to her.

Genuine question - what is the rationale behind allowing guest entry only for blood relatives?

Blood relatives don’t necessarily live nearby, while friends, cousins, or other relatives may be living in the same city/area and could realistically visit the campus. Meeting them occasionally feels good. So the current restriction feels a bit arbitrary.

I completely understand why guest entry was restricted when things were at their peak and protests were happening around campus. At that point, keeping the gates closed made sense from an institutional/security perspective.

But things have largely normalised now. If most other campus activities and restrictions have been brought back to normal, why is guest entry still not being normalised to how it used to be?

Also, if the concern is that guests might see something on campus and share internal information outside, I'm not sure how effective restricting guests to blood relatives would be as a solution. Students themselves are already part of the campus and can share information outside if they want to.

Would genuinely like to understand the reasoning behind the current policy.

So my message to the Security Team would be simply normalise the things as they were before dont let the student suffer because of those protests !

Got a message in the alumni group saying that alumni entry has been closed for a few days because something happened yesterday. Does anyone know what happened?

Hello everyone

I am third year UG student from Kgp (circuital branch) and have cg just above 8.I didn't get any intern and two months have already passed. Now I am targetting good placements(FAANG level). I have done good in DSA from striver sheet and completed almost 70 percent. But I didn't gave any contest or smthing thats why I perform poor in internship OAs. Now I want to prepare for placement. I am starting my practice from now by giving contests and all. Please suggest me some good resources for cracking FAANG level OAs and interviews 🙏🙏

Are mtech students from other engg. branches allowed to sit for cse placements in iits?

This is probably a long shot, but I thought I’d try.

A while ago, I spoke to a guy here on Reddit who was from Palghar, was in CSE, and graduated in 2026.

We talked for a bit, and he was genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve met on Reddit. He gave me some helpful suggestions as well and was just a nice person to talk to.

The funny/sad part is that I never even asked his name. I remember once thinking, “I should probably ask his name so I don’t completely lose contact with him if he ever deletes his Reddit account.”

Well… that exact thing happened.

After a long time, I randomly remembered him and thought I’d message him, only to find that his account had been deleted.

So if this sounds like someone you know or, by some miracle, you’re the guy I’m talking about please DM me. I’d genuinely just like to reconnect and at least know who you were 😭
