How would you fix this?

Didn't buy this table, wish I had, but didn't know if this could be fixed with the inlays in the pictures. The worn area was worn through the top finish and the stain, to the point of being rough to the touch.

If I were to come across something like this again, how would I go about refinishing it properly? Or should I just steer clear?

Thanks!

Looking for new fans, but want to turn light on/off from wall switch.

Okay, been doing renovations in my new house, and I want to replace a few fans and add a couple where I don't have them now. I only have one real must-have, and that is the ability to turn the light on and off from a standard wall switch independent of the fan. Not with a stupid remote.

I am aware that requires constant power at the ceiling box to support the fan working when the light is off, not a big deal as I am removing the currently installed knob&tube wiring and will be pulling both switched and constant power to the junction boxes.

In my last house, I didn't have too much problem getting fans that had remotes, but the light function was easily bypassed to operate off the wall switch. It seems like now, the largest majority of fans I like the style of have lights with changeable colour temp, which leaves me wondering if I'm stuck using the remote.

The real question I have is this, are the light kits on the fans that have selectable colour temps (typically 3 options) still line voltage powered, or are they low voltage powered?

I know I could email the fan mfg, but I expect all I'm going to get back from them is a canned response telling me I have to use the supplied controller or void my warranty.

TL;DR Are the LED light kits on modern fans typically still line voltage powered?

Thanks random person!

Had a bit of a surreal experience playing ZB last night. We were down to that last 10 players or so and I was heading to the very last extraction point not in the storm to extract the sprites I had on board, just farming sprite dust to get my portable extractor for the day. Triggered the extractor and had a player run up on me, so I blasted them a few times, but they didn't shoot back, so I stopped. They dropped a bunch of galaxy sprites, some I needed and took off. So I grabbed them all up and extracted them! Score!

After that I got jumped by someone else and I managed to eliminate them, grabbed their crown and weapons and that same player popped up again, dropped a bunch of gummy sprites and bailed from the game, handing me the crowned victory royale! I was so stunned I couldn't grab up the sprites fast enough to keep them, but I really appreciated the drop! Also didn't catch their screen name either. :(

Doubt the person is in here, but if you were the player that dropped a bunch of sprites for a player playing as Fennix on the NA-East server last night, huge THANK YOU!!!
