What meals hold up best when dinner time is unpredictable?

One thing I still haven’t figured out is how to handle dinner when my spouse’s schedule changes constantly. I can have everything ready at a normal time, and then a shift runs late or something comes up and the food ends up sitting around much longer than expected.

I’ve been thinking about keeping two parts of dinner warm separately instead of reheating the whole meal later. I came across a sunvivi double-crock cooker while looking at options, but I’m not sure which foods actually stay decent for an extra hour or two.

For other med spouses dealing with unpredictable schedules, what meals work best for this? I’m looking for things that don’t dry out, get mushy, or turn into glue while waiting for someone to finally get home.

What schedule do you use during peak summer growth?

I had my robot mower running every few days earlier in the season, and that seemed to keep the lawn looking pretty even.

Now that summer growth has picked up, I am not sure if that schedule is still enough. The grass seems to recover faster, and waiting too long between runs makes the mower work harder than expected.

For people using robot mowers through peak summer, how often do you usually run yours?

Do you prefer short daily runs, every other day, or just adjust based on growth and weather?
