RAW (not RAI) argument that you can't force move creatures into an occupied square?

>You can’t willingly end a move in a space occupied by another creature.

Have we been reading too much, but not enough into this line?

If I push a creature onto another square I am actually moving them, therefore if I push them onto the square of another creature I am "willingly ending a move in a space occupied by another creature"

Note that the rules do not specify that you can't willingly end your move.

I wouldn't try to read this much into it usually, however the new D&d beyond drop more clearly indicates that pushing creatures into another space is not RAI.

Why isn't there greater interest in Hollow Warden/Rogue builds?

When Heroes of Ferun came out we saw a flood of rather questionable Zhentarim Tactics builds where PC would either need to deliberately make themselves easier to hit, and therefore more likely to be targeted than their allies, or would require taking sentinel.

We even saw a number of these incorporating the scion of the three subclass.

Where as while there's already been a number of Hollow Warden posts, this multiclass has largely been ignored, despite the fact that double sneak attack would be even more certain since any form of damage is suffumicient to trigger an opportunity attack(including those from saves or automatic damage such as a barbed devils grapple)

No feats need to be taken, and you could even take the Lord's alliance origin feat to ensure advantage on the attack roll.

Is it just that the level 7 feature also seems really good and by this stage you wouldn't get many sneak attack die (while the old battlemaster/rogue builds would generally stop at fighter 5)

How many monster abilities are actually magical in 2024?

Fairy dust is officially non-magical in 5e!? (Pixie Stat block)

RAW the only dragon's breath magic resistance gives advantage against is the Amathyst dragon since force damage is magical.

Edit: The example of dynamite pretty clearly shows that the damage type examples in the PHB does not make force damage magical, however this brings us back to the Archmage who actually casts arcane blast which the designers decided is not magical

The rule about which effects are magical do work...however following them kinda breaks down the rules and expectations of the world.

Is it time to ask whether this is intentional so that DM's can freely reflavour stat blocks to be magical or non-magical and the nature of these abilities is not meant to be a balancing consideration?

At what level does a rogues damage become too low?

There seems to be this impression that the rogues damage is too low from level 5 onwards, however comparing the base chasis with the DW feat to a PAM fighter their likely damage seems almost identical.

Fighter assuming two reactive strikes and one action surge over 6 rounds of combat (Action surge is used once in two x three round combats) 70% hit chance

(16×(5.5+4)+6×(2.5+4)).7=133.7

DW Rogue

(6×(4.5+4)+12×3.5)×.7+6×3×3.5×(.973)=126.4

Is a 6% difference really unacceptable for the skill monkey class?

Adding in extra attack seems to be the common "solution" but this brings the rogues damage up to 162.1, a massive overcorrection.

And if we assume champion fighter vs assassin and account for crits then the damage gap becomes even closer.

At most it seems like then only changes that may be required is;

A) Twist the knife: When you apply sneak attack any damage riders from magical weapon properties are doubled.

B) Make the withdraw cunning strike free.
