are mac health sci students at an advantage or is that just a rumour?

i just had a friend get into uoft medicine this cycle as a 3rd year mac health sci student, but there are so many mac health sci students that got into med this cycle compared to what i hear from other undergrads. is it true theyre at an advantage or is it just luck? (btw i i havent applied to med yet im early on in my undergraduate program in case anyone thinks i am downplaying their success bc im truly not and very happy for them! just curious)

Is it really hard or is it doable to get good grades? just tell me anything you think i should know beforehand! thank youu

btw, i am deciding between humanities, socsci, and enviro sci. ik theyre really random but idk what i wanna do so im trying to look into what is most interesting for me! as for enviro sci i think id be interested in continuing it 2nd year which is why i wanted to know how the program is for people that didnt switch 2nd year! thank u guyss

I havent applied to this cycle as i am still undergrad but am i the only one excited for everyone that applied in the sub? I hope you all get in as youve worked so hard for this, and remember even if you get a rejection it doesnt mean youre not good enough! Canada just has stupidly high standards and you are more then qualified, try again and again, never give up:))

"did you get in?" "why didnt you get in to that school yet?" "did you pick where youre going" "youre smart youll be fine" "just bring your mark up" " so and so got in why havent you" "well youre not trying hard enough"

no leave me the fuck alone. the pressure from family is worse then the academic pressure. all they want is for u to get into a top school so they can brag to their friends about it. why is my worth based on if i go to fucking uoft or a regular uni near my house. why do i never get asked how im doing?? gr 12 by far has been the most depressed i have ever been. and sure you might tell me get ready for uni its worse. i literally dont care about what u have to say its still valid to feel like this in highschool.
