Unpaid Time Off - Scheduled

I had requested Saturday off and it was approved but I was scheduled that day. I hadn’t seen I was scheduled since I’m a part-time shopper so I usually check at the beginning of every week to put it in my reminders. My TL messaged me and told me why I didn’t come in.

I thought maybe I read the request wrong and it hadn’t been approved so I went to check and it was approved.

I’m confused why I was scheduled if it was approved, will this affect my upt? Was I supposed to call in since I was on schedule?

If UPT gets deducted I will br negative so I’m worried. I’m already on the verge of getting a warning since I didn’t call out in time a while back. I was told if nothing else happens as in a missed shift or something then I should be good but this is way too recent after they just spoke to me.

Advice needed! Competitive medical programs

I missed the deadline to apply for the rad tech program so I have to wait until next time but I have seen so many people say they dont get accepted the first time around. I also know reapplying multiple times gives you more points thus a higher chance of getting accepted so now I am worried I will have to go through the next application cycle not getting accepted until the second time and that is a lot of time being wasted not doing anything. I already finished my prereqs, I don’t want to waste time as I already feel behind.

Is it worth it to wait anyway even if I know I will be wasting time this time around and the next? Or should I opt for another program that is slightly less competitive.. I heard good things about this career like the pay and work/life balance so if theres anything similar that pays good enough, stable job, plus less time wasted on a waitlist then please let me know!

Any and all help appreciated.

Can’t upload shift - Rule violation

For context, I am a shopper and usually get scheduled a 8 hour shift every week and I do pick up a few more shifts when I can. The last time I worked was the last week of June.

I have been taking care of both my dad and aunt as they had surgery recently. So I haven’t been to work for about 3 weeks. I didn’t discuss this with my supervisors since it happened suddenly and I hadn’t gone to work after it happened. I’m also not too sure how I would contact them. I don’t have their number or anything so I thought just putting my shifts up for the following weeks would be fine but then I tried to put another shift up and it says I am unable to offer the shift due to a rule violation. I’m scared that I shouldn’t have been putting my shifts up and not working at all.

Am I going to be fired? Where in the GIG can I find information on this?

Any help and advice is appreciated.
