Payment Plans Feel Like a Scam

I just wanted to rant about the payment plans and that one fee we have to pay that we can't get back at all. Has this all happened because of the sudden Workday switch? I don't remember ever having to put in this much effort and stress about this stuff when DC was with econnect. The worst part is that it feels like no one really knows what exactly is going on and I hate making phone calls about the same stuff over and over

Workday is a lot harder to navigate and I've practically paid for all my summer and fall classes before even a hint of my awards letter has shown up. This is so ridiculous.

This old fart is coming back

Back then, we did our exams online without any type of proctoring. I'm going to take BIOL 1406 online for Summer I but need to know how online exams/labs are done nowadays since I'm taking a trip the first week of class.

Any sugar babies at Dallas College?

Anyone looking for a sugar daddy? I’m 6’ tall. Clean cut. Fit. Work in finance.

Let’s meet for lunch, drinks, dinner and see if there’s a connection. Would also enjoy having an occasional travel companion on my business trips to keep me company. 😈

Just graduated!!

As much as this College struggles with getting itself together I think I'm actually gonna miss it. Good luck to everyone who's still on their journey!!

Unable to see class materials

Hi everyone. So I enrolled for an online class in the May term, and its official start date is today. I logged into BrightSpace, and I see the course, but for some reason, when I click on it, nothing has been posted. No assignments, announcements, syllabus, contents, nada.

Is anyone else facing this issue?

Online Proctored Exams

Hi everyone! How does this work, I’m taking a math class this summer and from what I can see I have to buy a separate webcam that’s points towards my laptop, desk, and keyboard
Iss that correct?
Is this whatever everyone does? To my understanding I can no longer use the built in laptop camera.
I’m traveling and will be taking exams out of the area was hoping I didn’t need to carry so much with me

Is it better to take these exams in person

Am I behind?

It's May. I'm hoping to start my pre-reqs this fall quarter. I need to re-apply FAFSA for this fall. Do my TSI test & then register for ENGL 1301 & MATH 1314. I've never been in college, am I cutting it too close? I need a realistic answer as I'm very new to registering for college & need someone to kindly point me into the right direction bc I'm not sure how far prior you get all this done. Thank you

Radiology Program

Hey just just got a rejection letter, however by my calculations with their standards I should have 28 points. This time I was never given a review of my score and points, so I’m at little lost right now. Anyone else feel their points are off?

Edit: Did anyone receive a tally of their points like last application showing how many points you have?

5/11/26 - Went to success coach and they just said to email the admissions program and wait.

This college is so disorganized

I'm in the DEVTP Program and this school is so disorganized, its a joke. My work pays for tuition but only through this school, so I'm stuck.

It took months for the school to properly apply my transcripts so I could apply for the program. Literally months of emailing one department, being told it's the other departments fault, who said it was the first departments fault, for multiple rounds of this bs.

The academic calendar online only lists 5 week and 10 week options for the summer semester, but surprise the vet tech classes are a mysterious unlisted 13 week schedule.

Last semester a whole bunch of people who had to get their textbooks mailed didnt receive them until 3 weeks after the semester started. Thankfully I was used to their BS by then and spent weeks before the semester started harassing the bookstore until they finally sent my books.

I'm loosing my fucking sanity at this "school".

Certificate +

Hello, so I’m currently doing my Associate of Arts and should be done in spring next year, then transferring to UTD to get my Bachelor of Arts in criminology.
I’ve also been thinking about doing a certificate in digital forensics and private investigation at Dallas College. Do you think it’s worth it, especially since I want stronger job opportunities?

What does the "C" mean after the course number? (e.g. MATH 1314-C13)

Hi, I'm currently doing my undergrad at dallas college and was planning to take a 10-week course over the summer for my math requirement. To be honest, before the online faculties had switched to workday I would pretty much meet with a counselor and have them walk me through whichever courses I wanted to take. Now, however, I'm trying to familiarize myself with registering myself through workday.

With that out of the way, I'm wondering what the "C" means after the course name/number. I remember one of my counselors saying something about how it would not count towards my goal of an associate's of science, or at least not be transferrable to another college/uni; but to be frank, I don't remember. I was looking to take MATH 1314, and there was a really well-rated professor whose course seems like exactly my style, but like the title says it's MATH 1314-C13, and I don't want to take a course that isn't even useful for me.

Please help!

I need to still pay for classes after already paying for them??

Howdy, I’m taking two summer classes (texas gov and phys 1401) and when I enrolled in the classes I also went ahead and paid in my summer tuition in full. However, apparently they upped my tuition shortly after I paid and now I owe them 676 dollars (135 dollar installment plans) and have a late payment (which I had no clue of til today), even though I already paid them 472 dollars in full (which was the total when I enrolled in my classes and set up payment). I already emailed the cashier office, but is any other transient or enrolled student have this happen before? If so, how do I figure this out in time before they drop me for not paying (even though I did pay)? Can I still negotiate with the cashier office or go to another branch of help to get this figured out or at least pay less?
