[highlights] Charles Woodson and Tom Brady discuss the tuck rule.
You can definitely tell they're former teammates.

The almost completely forgotten 2012 Patriots offense scored 557 points while primarily running the no huddle offense. It was their 3rd straight 500 point offense, and their 4th since 2007.
In this game the Patriots rallied back from a 3-31 deficit, but they still lost to the eventual super bowl losers. The Bay Area native in me certainly wishes the 49ers had more plays than "fade to Crabtree" during the Harbaugh era, but it is what it is.
| Year | Rank in total points allowed | Post season points allowed during their super bowl runs |

| 1988 | 8th | 28 total points (9, 3, 16). |
| 1987 | 3rd | |
| 1986 | 3rd | |
| 1985 | 2nd | |
| 1984 | 1st | 26 total points (10, 0, 16). |

This is a George Seifert appreciation post. His work as the defensive coordinator for the 49ers from 1983 to 1988 (previously the defensive backs coach from 1980 to 1982) goes almost totally unrecognized nowadays, but he was vital to the success of the dynasty as a position coach, coordinator and head coach.

My favorite deranged football debate of all time. It's always interesting to see how perceptions have changed since.
2007:
98 receptions, 1,493 yards (15.2 YPC), 23 touchdowns
2009:
83 receptions, 1,264 yards (15.2 YPC), 13 touchdowns.
Brady had played badly the week before against the Rams, and I remember booing him while wearing my Bledsoe jersey before the game (and I was far from the only one). The whole thing is funny in hindsight, but Bledsoe truly handled the whole thing like a pro and Brady threw 4 touchdowns.
