Opinions on the iconic classic hana yori dango

I have only seen good thing regarding hana yori dango the Japanese drama i was shocked to find criticisms of it.

I mean maybe it's just nostalgia for me but I didn't have any criticisms of the Japanese version aside from a couple nitpicks unlike the other versions so what I found statements such as this

"Annoying as Season Two was, it was not a patch on the movie for lameness. I can’t believe I re-watched that pathetic excuse for a movie. Tricked! Lured by the charms of Matsujun & Mao to slog through a bog of non-plot and irrational behavior, all in the name of extended fanservice.”

Or criticisms for how the show's characters are politically incorrect I was surprised and just didn't get it and I can't get answers from the person who wrote this as it was written years ago so before I post my post on why I love the drama so much I would like to see differing opinions on the drama whether positive or negative so please drop your opinions on hana yori dango.
