week 17 on tirzepatide update
hey yall, just checking in
i have been flare(ish)-free for 17 weeks now due to tirzepatide. i am also down over 30 pounds.
i say (ish) because 2 weeks ago, i experienced my first minor flare since being on the medication. i’ve determined this to be caused by eating tomato soup. i know right… tomato soup 🤦♀️🤦♀️ i think nightshades in high quantities are a trigger for me, but specifically campbells tomato soup.
anyways, i double dosed my zinc and vitamin D, took vitamin C and fish oil, took a ginger turmeric shot, and slathered zinc paste on my emerging flare areas. within 3 days i managed to make these areas calm down and not come to the surface.
for reference, i am hurley stage 1 for the most part, with one tunneling stage 2 lesion. i have never had surgery. i am 19F. no pcos or insulin resistance, checked by lab work and ultrasound.
if you are considering tirzepatide, i encourage you to explore. it was been literally a miracle drug for me (so far) and has allowed me to go an entire semester in college without a disabling flare.
EDIT: for reference i am also sober, non-smoking, and plant-based.
