Trying to fix Bosch dryer
Hello all. I recently purchased a Bosch washer and dryer combo, and have had some trouble with the dryer. While it heats up and spins empty fine, adding anything substantial (more than a few articles of clothing) causes the drum to fail to spin (it sounds like it tries to start and then starts groaning and not spinning), which I believe also causes the heat sensor to trip. When it does occasionally run, though, it also makes an almost high pitched scraping type noise.
I’m thinking one of the main issues is a failed start capacitor (if anyone knows about this type of thing, please let me know if this makes sense), as it seemed to fail when I tried to use a multimeter on it. However, I can’t find the capacitor (see above) for it anywhere in the US. Does anyone know what would be a safe replacement? Looks like the part is a Fixapart W1-11007 N capacitor rated for 6.3 microfarad.
