Could one piece of live rock i got from another reefers tank seed all my dry rock?
Im currently running an oase 850 cannister filter for filteration and biomedia (bio spheres), carbon, sponges but after researching im hearing its more for freshwater. I want to stop running the oase completely and rely on my rock as filteration and biomedia. Idk why but i keep feeling like the oases bringing in too much good stuff thats possibly in my tank and on my live rock i got and getting trapped in the sponges like possible copepods, amphipods ect So far ive noticed bristle worms in my tank. I took off my skimmer because i was running it 24/7 and pretty sure i had a dino outbreak but went away when i took it off.
