Trying to figure out names in 15-16th century Japan

I’m currently in the middle of writing a historical fiction book set during this time period. And one character is a commoner castaway from Japan. Need help figuring out a name for him that isn’t stereotypical gibberish or cultural appropriation.

[Hated Trope] Political Bait movies

Self-explanatory, but movies that so obviously attempts to appeal to a political side with little regard to quality, sensitivity, or plot cohesion. Also just straight-up being bad movies.
