My recordings have terrible looking bitrate and colors even when I follow all tutorials.

So for context, I have been trying to record professional-looking footage for a while now, yet every time the recording ends up looking all blurry and fuzzy, like if it had a shitty bitrate (which it doesn't.) Even when recording with constant QP at 22 it still looks terrible, and it just leads to me having unreasonably larger file sizes for the same quality. I record at 1080p 60fps so performance is not an issue for me. Here's my exact computer specs and OBS settings:

Pc:

  • GeForce RTX 4060 OC
  • Intel i5 14600k
  • 64gb DDR5 5600Mhz
  • 2 TB Corsair MP600 CORE XT

Current OBS Recording Settings:

  • Recording Format: .mkv
  • Video Encoder: NVENC H.264
  • Rescale Output Disabled
  • Rate Control: Constant QP (22)
  • Keyframe interval: 2s
  • Preset: P5 Slow
  • Tuning: High Quality
  • Multipass Mode: Single
  • Profile: high
  • Look-ahead off, Adaptive Quantization on
  • B-Frames: 3

I wish I could provide some footage to show what it looks like, but sadly I can't upload media on this subreddit :/

Anyway, I hope this is enough information so that it's easier to find a solution, frankly I am tired of looking at the 500th tutorial on "The Best OBS Settings for Recording Footage" only to be met with the same results. If I need to provide any additional information I will do my best to find it. Please help :(
