Waitlisted Help

Long story short, before the semester started, I was registered for a course that got canceled the Thursday before school started. Wanted an 8-week short term class, but the two that would work with my schedule were waitlisted. So I registered for one of the waitlisted classes, but I also registered for the same class (different section obvi) that had availability. Emailed the professor for the class I was waitlisted for and said that she added authorization for me to add the class. However, when I try to register for said class, I get this message. Is this because I'm still registered in the other BADM 103 class and would have to drop it in order to get into the class?

Suffer through awkward silence vs Attempting small talk

I (28F) got broken up with my girlfriend (24F) of 4 years back in mid-May. To say the least, it's been a bit of a hard time for me as I felt a bit blindsided and didn't really expect it to happen. We talked a couple of weeks later about the break-up and I essentially got the closure I was seeking, but it still hurts nonetheless, and I haven't entirely moved on from it.

The reason I bring this up is because my ex just returned to work (fast food restaurant) - which is the same job where we met and got together - from LOA after being away for university for a year. We've already worked a couple of shifts together since she's returned where we worked in the same area. Nothing much happened; we avoided any eye contact with each other and did not speak with other besides basic work communication that is essentially required for the job. We're not scheduled much with each other but we do have a shift coming up where we are scheduled together that I'm kind of concerned about. For context, every day our job will give a couple of shifts to people before the restaurant opens to prep for the day, and one of those shifts are 2 kitchen openers. My ex and I are scheduled for those 2 shifts where we will only be working with each other for about 2 hours... assuming she doesn't release her shift or call out. There's one part of our job where we have to prep stuff together and we will essentially be side-by-side doing this, so my question is: should I even bother to make small talk or should we both suffer through awkward silence and not say anything since we're exes?

This is pretty much just extra info, if it might be helpful to provide advice for the question, but our relationship really didn't end on bad terms; for example, one person didn't cheat on the other. All things considered, it ended on rather decent terms. Of course I'm upset that she broke up with me, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that I hate her, and she has told me that she doesn't hate me. In regards to work, I have a feeling she might not even attempt small talk and will also just pretty much stay silent the entire time. I tend to be a person that reads off of vibes and energy a lot, and the couple of times that I have worked with her, I have gotten this feeling that she really doesn't want to be anywhere near me; tries to create as much space as possible between us. Of course, these are all assumptions and I could be reading them entirely wrong, but that's generally what I've been feeling from her. Considering the circumstance, it would make sense, but I just don't know the intention behind it. Hence why I'm not entirely sure how to handle this situation coming up for the both of us.

Sorry for the long post lol but any advice would be helpful. Thank you!
