Confused as to whether I’ve been hired or not? Or is manager trying to save face
Quick timeline, 3 weeks ago I was interviewed for a sales position at at home depot near me, I was interviewed by a female manager let’s call her F. Me and F’s interview is going well, when a male manager, lets call him M come in midway thru the interview. He explains how he’s going to go on break but he will do part 2 of my interview when he’s off break. I sit in the back office for almost half an hour extra when F tells me to go home and that we’ll set up another interview. 2 weeks go by and nothing, I figured i’m not hired til one random day I get an email saying to pick a time slot to come in to finalize my hiring. Cool right? welp I come in this past Friday 5/15, and meet manager M, manager M is very confused to why I’m even there, he takes my name and number and says he’ll call me, that doesn’t happen so I go in today and he takes me to the back office, after showing him the email saying I was here to “finalize” he says that there was a mistake and that the email actually meant that I was getting another interview??!!?!?
I think manager F hired me without going over it with manager M and now they’re trying to save face personally
