Contract paused today but it has been life-changing and not because of the money. I just see things differently.

Hey, guys. I've had an awesome 3 months and my contract was paused today. It was my first and I did not expect it to last as long as it did. What I want to know is, is there a difference between "your contract is paused" and the "thank you for your time and effort?" Or does one naturally precede the other?

Mercor Explore Opportunities page (on my side), page 1, has 16 jobs and only 5 are US-based. My page 2 has remote (global) jobs, it would take too much time to go through all the pages. So yes, almost everybody has a shot (over 150 countries). And no, most of the jobs are not for the US only. Pay depends on the project and your skills, not which country you are based in.

There is a list of countries you cannot work from though (very short list). I know most people here already know it, but I get this question a few times a week.

Why does Outlier pay people from different countries or "3rd World" countries so much less than Americans yet we do the same work on a project, and some are even more qualified?

Hi. I am asking for someone else. She did an application to Mercor a few months before I did for something for teachers - degree holder and never got hire. And she has not received any instant offers either. She wants to know does she have to have AI training experience to do the Generalist interview or do they hire without that on those kinds of projects? I applied because I have prior AI training so I'm not sure how to advise.

Hi. I understand this is contract work and earnings depend on projects but just wanted to know on average how much can a generalist make in 6 months to a year.
