Hi! This is my first set I’ve ever attempted, haven’t even gotten to try on myself because my sister was really wantjng me to do hers. I was extremely careful because I’m so paranoid of acrylate allergies but I still managed to cure a little bit on her skin during the application process of the extension. How do they look overall for my first time? Took 6 hours, 4 hours for application & the first 2 coats and then 2 separate hours for designs 😳 is that normal for a beginner?
Here are the things I struggled with the most
• Extension application, wow it is much harder than I thought to apply just the right amount of glue into the falsie and not get it anywhere on the skin. Also thought I’d somehow be able to clean up with an isopropyl alcohol brush before curing LOL nope both hands are occupied buddy. Tips?
• Cuticle work was a struggle and as you can see I nicked her a few times unfortunately. I used a ceramic buffing band to try to seal the cuticle and it was way too hard and felt dangerous to manage on even the lowest e-file setting. Feel like it did nothing.
• Before designs I tried really hard to make the shape skinny, not bulky to her nail but after all the designs and a top coat it just looks too bulky in some areas more than others.

• Neutral coat still see thru in certain areas after 2 coats, why?
