Hi everyone,

I wanted some career advice.

I’m currently working at "Infosys" with a Java development tech stack. I’m a 2025 graduate and it’s been almost 6 months after training, but I still haven’t been allocated to a project yet.

Instead of sitting idle, I started building projects on my own. Right now I’m developing a Vehicle Fleet Management System using microservices architecture, and I’m trying to build it at a proper enterprise/project level instead of just basic CRUD operations. I’m also planning to build another solid real-world project alongside it.

I’m decent at DSA and still practicing consistently.

My doubt is:

Should I start applying to other companies now itself, or should I first spend more time improving my skills/projects and maybe take some courses before applying?

Would really appreciate honest suggestions from people who’ve been in a similar situation or switched from service companies early in their careers.

Thank you!
