Do you know anyone who got a date (and it worked out in the end) from leaving their phone number somewhere?

I used to be a waiter and would get a lot of phone numbers. They always left it on a napkin while I was cleaning up or something. I only messaged the first one I got, but it went crazy fast so I never did it again.

Just curious if it ever worked for anyone else. “Worked” in this case means you had an actual relationship for a while (dated for a few months and anything past that).

Do I need to hand over documents I made for my work, but completely off the clock? Location: Ohio

I gave access to some online files to my employer (hourly job). Some I made before I even started there, but some I made for them (cookie recipes, training resources, etc.). However, this was off the clock and they never paid me for it nor compensated me in anyway. There’s no transfer of ownership or anything. I only gave them access to files.

Months later, they fired me and I revoked their access to the documents. Now they are telling me I need to give them access back.

Do I have to give them access?

Have people on the internet ever tried to correct you on something you’re an expert on?

Got a notification from a Reddit argument I had a year ago. The argument was about the exact topic of my PhD project, but according to Reddit I was entirely wrong.

I completely forgot about it but now I’m mad again lol. Anyways, has anyone else been in this position?

Edit: Okay, there actually is a SSD in here. I’m just gonna unplug the bad HDD, but in a new(ish) HDD, install windows via usb, and call it a day.

I’m being out a friend with this one which makes me question myself even more.

She got the computer (Inspiron 5680) from her brother and doesn’t care about the files.

I guess she started it up and got HDD errors. Can’t share screenshots but the error code was…

>Critical issue found

>Error Code: 151

My plan was to take the old HDD out, put a spare one I have laying around in with windows installed, and go from there.

Is that a good plan?
