We noticed a swollen spot on our dog’s leg Sunday. I thought it was just a reaction so we tried Benadryl Sunday night. It still looked the same Monday. Tuesday it looked better, and Wednesday it got worse (and started to develop purple blisters) so I took him to his vet. They put him on Doxycycline and Carprofen. Now the blisters are bursting. Do I keep giving him the medication? Is this what is supposed to happen? The vet closes at 5:30. I called at 5 and the front desk girl said “we can’t take anyone else today. You’ll have to find an emergency vet” without giving me the chance to talk to someone 🥹
