Tox Lip Flip Question

Tox Lip Flip Question

I have done a tox lip flip successfully several times with no problems. But this time it’s different (maybe because I’m using a new tox). I did two units each just above each “hump” of the cupids bow, two units at each point above my lip where the edges of my nostrils align, and one unit each about 1cm from the edge of my mouth. I also did two units at two points below the pillows of my lower lip.

Is it normal that after tox lip flip I’m having a difficult time pursing my lips when using mouthwash but my lips do not appear to be “flipped” and the smokers lines wrinkles are still very noticeable? In other words, I seemed to receive the problems without the benefits. Is there any way to fix this?

[USA] Behavioral Neuroscience Programs Focused on the Neuroscience of Mental Health Specifically?

Hello,

I’m pursuing my PsyD in clinical psychology and I’m realizing that I should have done a PhD instead. I really enjoy research and want to fully understand the neuroscientific processes that influence and are influenced by mental health diagnoses, and I likely would have had more access to taking courses and doing research on this alongside my clinical psychology classes (or as a cognate area) if I had done the clinical psychology PhD route. I have a couple of questions I was hoping some of you would be able to answer.

  1. Most behavioral neuroscience programs here in the U.S. seem to have a broad focus or a focus more on neuropsychology as it relates to neurocognitive disorders. I want to understand what happens neurologically with mental health disorders specifically, especially trauma disorders, so that I can do research and design interventions based on what creates plasticity (as in, neurologically evidenced, not psychologically assumed). Can anyone recommend programs that relate specifically to that?
  2. Is anyone aware of any certificate programs for psychologists that help them gain higher level knowledge in behavioral neuroscience that

is more related to mental health neuroscience than

  1. based on building expertise in neuropsychological assessments for neurocognitive disorders? (It might be a good idea to at least see if I have an aptitude for it prior to a PhD, lol.)

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

PsyD Program Decision Tree Tool

Hi future applicants. I wanted to share this spreadsheet I made that you might find helpful. It lists all the APA-accredited PsyD programs in the United States and all the factors you should be considering when you’re trying to figure out where to apply to and what offers to accept (objective and subjective). It’s color-coded by type of program (clinical, counseling, school, etc.). I listed them in descending order by EPPP pass rates, but please keep in mind these are the 2025 pass rates (You will have to look up the 2026 pass rates and plug those in once they’re available.). It’s a locked spreadsheet (because so many people have used this and it would be chaos if I unlocked it!), but you can copy it and use it for your purposes. I added in some details about some programs as an example.

Bottom line: Don’t go off of hearsay about what the “best” programs are. Do your own research. Take all factors into consideration, not just what the “stats” are and what people say are the best programs. What would be a good fit for you wouldn’t be for someone else. Your preparedness prior to application will help you choose the best program fit for you and then hone in on what the particular programs you’re looking at will want in a candidate so you can guide your interview answers accordingly.

Wishing you all great success this coming application round. Don’t forget, the field needs you!!!!

Coretox Question: Is this Normal?

I tried Coretox for the first time after having used only Innotox and Neurovie. I did my forehead, glabella, crows feet, DAOs, lip flip, and masseter muscles (to correct over pronounced area on one side due to TMJ). I had high hopes for Coretox based on people’s reviews but I’m not so sure I’m happy so far. I injected five days ago and so far, this is what I’m seeing:

The good or neutral:

-Masseters are now even (effectively shrunk the over pronounced side)

-Forehead seems almost smooth, a little movement still which makes wrinkles pop

-Glabella is frozen but seems slightly uneven

The iffy:

-Crows feet have not responded at all so far, in fact they seem worse, maybe because previously I had lifted my brow which doesn’t seem to be the case now

-Upper lips look…weird. They look fuller and it seems difficult to purse them when using mouthwash - BUT the smokers line wrinkles are SUPER NOTICEABLE

So here are my questions: Is this normal that some areas haven’t kicked in at all while some are completely frozen? Does anyone know why I was able to make my upper lip actually ”flip” but the wrinkles are still bad?

Filler Storage?

Hi everyone. If I don’t use the entire syringe of filler, can I refrigerate it and use it later like I can for tox, or do I need to immediately discard? If I am able to refrigerate, how long am I able to store it for? Thank you so much. Everyone in this group is so helpful. I have learned so much.

How can I fix this? Help please!

As you can see, my lips are very asymmetrical. They weren’t like this when I was younger and it’s making me sad because I used to love my lips. I think it’s due to my TMJ and the facial shift that has occurred, one side of my face is significantly flatter (which I was able to correct with filler). But, the problem is that the left side of my lip hangs lower than the right side and it’s a totally different shape. I tried the Botox lip flip, it only helped to a degree (maybe because I injected both sides equally?). I think that has worn off by now, so I tried it again injecting a little extra on the lower side (one unit on two points on higher side and two units on the same two points on the lower side). It hasn’t taken effect yet. I tried some moderate (fine) filler but this only made them project further over my lower lip instead of become more symmetrical (even though quite a bit more filler was placed in the lower lip). I also tried PDO threads (screw) to lift the lower side but it didn’t work. Help!!!

Hi,

Does anyone know of someone who is highly skilled or professional who can consult with me in DIY Tox (forehead, brows, crows feet, lip flip), and possibly lip filler? I am happy to pay a reasonable consult fee. Tried contacting an aesthetics specialist people recommended and she never responded. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am new at this and want to make sure I’m doing it properly, safely, etc. Have some asymmetry and health issues, want to make sure I get it right and safe the first time so I don’t look insane and/or wind up in the ER (I have before).

(And for anyone on here who is going to launch into a lecture of not to do it at all unless you go to a professional, I want to remind you that’s not what this group is for! TIA for not doing that!)
