Hello all. I'm exclusively pumping for my 5 week old. He was born at 32 weeks. We've been home from the hospital for 2 weeks now. My supply initially felt great since he wasn't eating too much. Now though he's starting to eat more and he is already outpacing me. I pump every 2-3 hours round the clock, and I still can't seem to get much more than 45-60ml per pump total. It's getting so discouraging. I had some extra pumped and frozen from when we were in the nicu and we have had to dip into that a bit already.
How can I increase my supply? I've added pumps, extended time, extra hydration and nothing seems to help. Are there any supplements that *actually* work?
I struggled with my first son as well and ended up giving up pumping by 2ish months. I feel like we are doing better this time around, but barely. I want to keep going primarily for antibodies and illness protection for him. But I'm feeling so down about my supply not increasing.
