Underdrive pulley issue maybe idk
Sorry about the talking it’s for a video of mine but it’s the only video I have of the chirping sound. Now I’ve basically replaced all upper pulleys and belts, only thing I haven’t touched is the underdrive pulley and the other idle pulley down there along with the belt for the ac, to me it sounds like the sound is from the underdrive pulley tho I’m not sure has anyone had there UD pulley go bad and sound like this? Regardless on the weekend I’ll be changing the second belt down there and the small pulley as well just to make sure. If it is the UD pulley. I was thinking of getting the SLP ver sense I’m already replacing the part might as well get the best for it but I did some research and it’s just mixed opinions as some people only call it a waste of money due to not being worth much with out a cam or headers sense there won’t be much power gain but I mean any stacking of hp is great in my opinion but I also read the idle voltage drop which is a bit concerning sense i wouldn’t know if that would cause some issue down the line where car just shuts off hope not sense I haven’t seen any forums speak on that but if anyone has the SLP UD pulley on a stock z28 lmk how it’s doing you and should I get it for mine or replace it with OEM?.
