Looking to buy my first FJ 2012 or newer within the next 6months to a year. Reaching out for advice as to what to look for before purchasing and any potential known problems with the aforementioned model years. I live in Louisiana but am willing to look outside of the state if I can find a good deal. I came from the jeep community (2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee) and literally hated every minute of it. WTH happened to jeep after Stellantis? I know Toyotas are reliable but what is considered “high miles” for an FJ? The ones that are in my price range of $15k to $20k seem to have 200k-300k miles on them. Seems like a lot of money for a 12 to 14 year old car. Idk if these are worth what they’re asking for but I know the market is hot on off-roaders right now. Just seeing if I should wait for the market to cool off or get one in the near future. Idk if I should lower my expectations as far as buying or,reluctantly, increase my price range to something more reasonable. Any advice would help me out greatly. Thanks in advance.
