I want your opinion!
I have been a fan of Harry Potter since my mom bought the first book when it first came out. She would read to me before going to sleep and I would beg for another chapter every time! Have reread the books dozens of times since.
Lately, it feels that fantasy has been having a moment in mainstream media with many multi million dollar deals- i.e. Game of Thrones, Rings of Power, Wheel of Time, Sanderson’s new deal with Apple, and soon the new Harry Potter series.
So I am curious what you think!!
Do you think fantasy would be having a moment in mainstream media if Harry Potter hadn’t come out in the 90’s?
Do you think Harry Potter would have blown up and become as popular as it is if it came out for the first time today?
