She rejected me when I was broke. 2 years later, she texted me because I’m successful now.

Honestly just wanted to share this because the satisfaction is unreal.

Two years ago, my family was in a really bad spot financially. Drowning in debt, lowest of the low. There was this girl in my neighborhood I really liked. We were cool, basically friends, so one day I decided to propose to her. She shut me down instantly, no hesitation. The next day she hits me with, "Don't talk to me anymore, my mom told me not to talk to you." It was pretty obvious she rejected me because I wasn't rich.

It felt terrible, but it became my villain backstory lol. I moved to Hyderabad, started my own consultancy a year ago, and worked my ass off. Now I’m making really good money and just bought a Kia car. Since it's a small town, word traveled fast and everyone back home found out I'm doing well.

Out of nowhere, a month ago, she texts me. It’s been almost 2 solid years. She just writes "how r u".

I knew exactly what she was doing. I felt this huge surge of pride, but I didn't want to be petty or start insulting her. So I just silently blocked her without replying. Man, ee feeling entha bagundo seeing someone who threw you away try to crawl back the moment you find success is unmatched.

To top it all off, a week ago her mom casually brings up a marriage proposal to my mom. My mom just looked at her and said, "We aren't planning on marrying our son off for at least another two years."

Absolute mic drop. Success really is the best revenge.
