Need help on pc build
Hey folks,
Need some advice on a PC configuration I'm planning. I'm based out of Mysore and looking to build a solid machine primarily for heavy development work running Linux. I also need it to act as a media backup server for tons of photos and videos
My Requirements:
Budget: ₹1 Lakh to ₹1.2 Lakhs.
No Dedicated GPU for now: I want to rely on integrated graphics to keep the initial cost down, but I absolutely want a platform that leaves the option wide open for a seamless GPU upgrade in the future.
Storage Expansion: I’ll be starting with a fast NVMe SSD, but I plan on adding multiple massive mechanical hard drives (around 8TB+ each) down the line for media backups.
OS: Strictly Linux.
I ran this by an AI, and this is the rough layout it threw at me. Let me know if this looks optimal or if I'm overspending/underspending on the wrong parts:

A couple of specific questions:
Does this look well-balanced for a Linux workstation? Any specific motherboard compatibility issues I should watch out for?
For anyone around Karnataka/Mysore: Should I bother hunting for these parts offline locally (like K.T. Street), or am I better off ordering everything online via sites like MDComputers/Vedant/PrimeABGB?
Appreciate any inputs or tweaks!
