I went to eat lunch at a local diner near my house. Was wearing the LA Forum show shirt. The guy asks how the show was. I said, “Excellent, beyond expectations!” Then he starts with the bullshit “but it’s not Neil, she’s not as good, Geddy can’t sing”.

I asked, “Did you see a show?” To which he replied “I’ve seen videos”. I said “And you still think they collectively suck?!” Like huh?

“Well, no…”

I laughed. I said, “you can’t really make a judgement without seeing them live. She’s an outstanding drummer. She knows she’s not Neil as do the fans. Go see them, I recommend…”

“Meh…”

I went back to my burger, thinking “what a dummy”.

I’ll never understand the “fans” that hate that this is happening and try to shit on it.

Watched this Chicago video last night and noticed moments in the performance like this one in YYZ, during Alex's solo. Watch Ged walk back into frame, lock with Anika and continue. Hopefully it shares at the right time. In case, go to 2:08:54 if it doesn't. You'll see it. It brings me joy to see this.

I take bad videos so none of that in this post. Just want to say that tonight’s show was beyond expectations. Geddys singing, Alex’s playing, Anika’s drumming and Loren’s keyboards were top notch. They were relaxed and at points, on fire. 🔥 I was with a fellow musician friend and Rush fan and we were looking at each other like “What are we seeing here?”. If you can go see them, do it. The people down the line in later shows are going to see a band that’s ever tighter. You are in for a treat!!!

I’m going to the show on June 9 and the closer it gets, I’m bursting with excitement. It’s like an old friend is coming to visit. Been listening to the Clockwork Angels tour record to prep.
