I already have a full ride at the University of Alabama through the National Merit program. I realize the obvious answer is to stay here, especially because I'm not particularly unhappy.
However, Rice is my absolute dream school - it's everything I ever wanted coming out of high school (location, size, community, prestige, etc.). I'm planning to go to law school (more loans) and hopefully break into big law which should give me a high enough salary to compensate a little bit.
How stupid would it be to take out 80-100k of loans for two years of school at Rice? In my head, the number after law school is already unfathomable, so I can't help but dream.
