So I'm a semi beginner semi intermediate, i know many chords and strumming patterns but till now i only used to do slow and calm strummings but now that I'm starting to use quick strummings the pick slips out of my fingers, i used to hold it with the top of my first finger and thumb but it definitely slipped, i then curled my first finger then put the pick and on top my thumb, but then the problem is it strums too hard and the pick gets stuck on the bottom e string

Also I'm new maybe I put up the wrong flair, sorry P. S my middle and ring finger don't have a nail, so I can't switch to nails, and both are kind of deformed at the top but I'm still open to all suggestions
