Building an SBR or AR Pistol from an Existing Stripped Lower After SB25-003?

Recognizing that this isn’t a legal advice forum, but let’s say one has had a stripped AR lower for years and just never gotten around to doing anything with it.

The lower being the serizalized “firearm” and already in possession, if one were to pursue building an SBR or AR pistol with it after 8/1, are the mandatory classes and new paperwork wrangling still going to be part of the process?

Quality of Life Upgrades for Bodyguard 1.0?

The wife has had a 1st gen Bodyguard for years and while I find it about as unpleasant as can be in terms of ergos, trigger grit, and recoil, I also figure we’re kinda stuck with it because we’d only get about $50 on consignment (if that) and I imagine the private sale interest is probably nil.

With that, I figure it could be a worthy mailbox gun or pocket pistol rather than a paperweight, and if there’s anything I can do to make it somewhat more pleasant, I’m interested in the discussion. I realize it’s the ultimate exercise in polishing a turd, but hey, it’s something to do. Ty in advance.

2000 Giant Iguana…Upgrade Components or Replace?

So I have had the bike in the title since I was in high school, and it’s been collecting dust for about the last 16 years or so. Entirely bone stock and definitely in need of some tender love and care and probably some component replacements.

The wife and I have been wanting to get back into biking, nothing too technical, logging roads, singletracks, etc…we live in the Colorado Rockies so there’s definitely some inclines and challenges to be had but we’re not planning on bombing downhills either.

She doesn’t have a bike so we’ll have to get her a new one do I already have that big cost in mind, and I’m wondering if this Giant will be enough to suit my needs after some maintenance and upgrading where it makes sense, or if it’s just too outdated for the kind of use I’m describing.

Fwiw, i’ve had this bike forever, but I’m definitely a novice at knowing what I’m doing here. It’s a Medium (19) frame, but I’m 5’10” with a 32” inseam and I’m not even sure it’s still the right size? Thanks in advance for any insights, tips, and advice!
