Founders Park

Founders Park is home to the University of South Carolina baseball team. Among its quaint realities is the park is not really connected to the university campus, but instead is relegated to a business district adjacent the campus. This makes for a rather drab visual backdrop past the stadium's outfield fences. The park itself is nice and spacious, with excellent seating and plenty of it for a collegiate stadium. This extends to a rather uniquely designed multi-tiered picnic area located in the left field corner.

Sadly, perhaps the single most striking part of the stadium cannot be replicated in Stadium Creator. The actual park features a distinct roost for the university's live rooster mascot, and during games you can hear its crowing across the venue! Alas, no option to replicate that in Stadium Creator!

As with these other releases, this effort uses the code to allow customization of the foul grounds, meaning that the layout precisely matches the actual venue's shape. This extends to highly accurate outfield wall measurements and angles. Given the stadium's layout is friendly with the somewhat limited code option for seat layouts, the stands likewise are highly accurate to the real venue.

Dudy Noble Field

Dudy Noble Field is considered the best collegiate baseball stadium in the nation. The facility can easily accommodate over 15,000 fans. This may well make the Mississippi State Bulldogs the only team that takes a step down when making the CWS and playing in Omaha!

Among the many unique features is the Loft Stands located behind the left field wall. Connecting to an apartment complex with integrated restaurants and bars, the facility is a precursor to the Atlanta Braves' battery concept. The large facility past the first base line is the university's basketball venue named Humphrey Coliseum.

This virtual reproduction uses customized foul grounds so that the field layout is a precise replication of the real deal. This includes the distances and angles of the outfield walls. For this reason, this release is limited to MLB 25 and earlier.

Baum-Walker Stadium

Home to the University of Arkansas baseball team. Baum-Walker is one the largest capacity collegiate stadiums in the nation, and regarding as having a very clean and well built character. This virtual reproduction uses customized foul grounds that precisely match the layout of the actual stadium, and given that layout, there is also no code-based compromise on where the props are laid out.

So, with the limits of props, this model is about as close to the real deal as I can pull off.

The new create a new post interface not as good

This new interface for creating a new post is far less robust and effective than the previous version. The option to drag and drop image files to the new post reduced the time and increased the accuracy of creating a stadium release post.

Given that one of the prime purposes of this sub-Reddit is to be a platform for publicizing new stadium releases, it seems that we should have the most optimized interface for doing that.

I am asking that the previous interface for creating new posts be restored.

Thanks!

There seems to be an issue with creating a new thread discussion. Seems that the options for selecting the options are removed, meaning options are missing like pasting images by sliding to the window.

Russ Chandler Stadium

One of the very few examples of a collegiate baseball park being located in the middle of a major city, Georgia Tech's Russ Chandler Stadium is renown as much for the vistas of large buildings ringing the stadium as for the stadium itself. Though, the venue has its own charms as well.

As is true for all of the Atlanta, GA area, trees abound. Yes, that's very much the case in the middle of the city as well. But, as someone who has lived in the metro area for a great number of years and currently, northwest Georgia is a mecca for anything green. If it grows anywhere it will pretty much thrive in what is truly a temperate rain forest with rolling hills.

That's why I always had the plan to retire here when my Air Force career ended.

Fact is, for as much press as Seattle gets for rain, truth is that Atlanta receives about ten inches per year more -- 50 versus Seattle's 39. It's just that when it doesn't rain, we get mostly sunshine, and the common refrain for Atlanta is that, "if you don't like the weather, just stick around, it'll change!"

Again, this virtual stadium leverages the option to customize the foul grounds to achieve a precise match with the layout of the real stadium. In this case, that actual layout works quite well for the way SDS's Stadium Creator code calculates avoidance areas for props, and so the stand layouts and other props are also fairly accurate.

Foley Field

Up front, there are numerous versions of this stadium that I placed on the vault because frankly over several weeks I just never did like the way this stadium looked overall. I was never happy with the state of the dugout level seating that is below the primary mezzanine deck of seats.

Over weeks I just kept tinkering with new options until I finally settled on one that I felt was the least compromised. I had to give up the two large aisleway access lanes above each dugout, but I think overall this was a decent trade to have an optimized look for the dugout level seating.

As it is, this virtual reproduction uses the option to customize the foul territory, so the basic layout is a precise replication of the real deal. There is a compromise also in that due to the poorly modeled avoidance area, I was forced to skew the seats past third base vice place them snugly against the pinched in third base baseline walls as in the real stadium.

Foley Field is of course home for the University of Georgia Bulldogs baseball team and has seen the team go to great success including another CWS appearance for the ongoing 2026 season. The Dogs won their Athens Super Regional to advance.

The seating past right centerfield is for the Bulldog's tennis venue, and the fraternity row houses past the right field fence sits atop what the alumni call Kudzu Hill. That area past the home run deck is free seating. The university put a sign on a tree that allows patrons seated there to make voluntary donations to a charity foundation. So, that's pretty cool!

Fans are known during events like a Regional or Super Regional to camp out on the parking deck past the left field fence and watch from there.

Lindsey Nelson Stadium

Named for famed TV sports broadcaster Lindsey Nelson, who graduated from the University of Tennessee back in 1941, and then served in the US Army as a Captain in North Africa and Europe during World War II. After his long career in broadcasting, Nelson returned to Tennessee to become their professor of broadcasting.

Nelson actually has the distinction of two baseball venues named for him as his Columbia Central High, named their stadium after him as well.

This virtual version of the real thing closely replicates the layout of the actual venue as well as the scenery past the outfield fences. This includes a railway bridge and elevated rail line that extends past the left field fences. At times you may catch a glimpse of the bridge and rail line, but due to the elevated banks, it is doubtful you'll ever see the Tennessee River, but it is there should such a view present itself during a game!

David F. Couch Ballpark

Even though the overall layout of David F. Couch Ballpark is as close to the default jewel box layout as I have seen, the option to customize even the two smaller sections in the corners makes so much difference in how the stands, grassy hills, and other background objects fit.

Wake Forest took full ownership of this stadium from a former minor league baseball team in Winston Salem. Since then, they have renovated the park several times, including a recent one that substantially changed the seat colors and even the look of the iconic double press boxes. The seats were extended further down each baseline, necessitating the removal of the brick homer deck that used to dominate behind the third base coaches box.

As it is, this virtual copy faithfully reflects the overall layout down the baselines, the backstop, and the outfield fences, complete with the multiple unique crooks that would make playing the outfield a sometimes tricky proposition. Cheap homers down each foul line are certainly possible as the distances to the foul poles are only 310 to left and 300 to right, though in each case, the slant of the fences quickly take the dimensions back to a more normal depth.

Frank Eck Stadium

To be honest about it, this actual stadium has always perplexed me. I mean, as collegiate baseball venues go, it's kind of average if one considers what lower division schools have, but in terms of a university as rich as Notre Dame, the reality is that Frank Eck Stadium is certainly well maintained and has nice and modern amenities for the players and coaches.

But, for the fans, it is truly on the low end of the ACC totem pole, and when compared to the SEC, it would barely meet minimum acceptable standards. I mean before Missouri was allowed to join the SEC the conference handed them a list of upgrade requirements for their baseball stadium, which Missouri had to implement as a condition to join the conference.

Like every other sport at Notre Dame, the history of the baseball program reaches back several decades and the team earned the ACC regular season crown as recently as 2021. Speaking of 2021, Notre Dame lost the option to host their 2021 Super Regional at home because the NCAA informed the school that their home venue fails to meet their minimum standards to host a Super Regional event.

The "Eck" as the fans call it is not even an old venue, as it was built in 1994. It's like Notre Dame wants to keep their baseball team in a small venue, because it enjoys an endowment value of over $20 billion, making it one of the richest corporations in the world. They could certainly do better if they desired to, so I have to conclude this is what they want.

All that said, this virtual replication does accurately reflect the real field's layout and surrounding area. The irony is that the lacrosse and soccer stadiums past the left field fences have larger seating areas than the Eck does!

Klein Field at Sunken Diamond

At Stanford University, there is this tiny pearl of a baseball park that is nestled beautifully in the excavation pit used to build the grading for their football stadium. Over time that "sunken diamond" that was the original name of the venue has seen mature trees grow in a dense circle surrounding the field.

Combine this aesthetic beauty with the nearly constant perfect weather for a daytime baseball game, and the people at Stanford wouldn't trade this gem for the most modern facility in the world. And why should they!

If you like watching your baseball in a pristine natural surrounding, then this is your slice of heaven on earth. There is simply no finer venue by that yardstick.

This virtual version precisely matches the field layout of the actual venue, which features a unique double pinch down the baselines. I must wonder if the design was intentional and the result of the original name of the venue, simply "Sunken Diamond." The reason is that if you extend that double pinch with the infield perimeter, when combined with the outfield, the result looks exactly like an diamond engagement ring!

Two grassy areas down each baseline just add to the setting. And on some plays you can catch the barest of views of the softball stadium just on the other side of the trees past the left field fences.

UFCU Disch-Falk Field

Home of the University of Texas baseball team, and one of the more regal collegiate ballparks in real life. This virtual copy again uses the customization of the foul grounds to precisely match the real park's layout.

The softball field that dominates the right field vista required almost as much memory to replicate as did the stands for the actual park you play in for the video game! That said, it is such a nice setup given its immediate proximity to the baseball venue. Off left field is the UT tennis stadium, which has two rows of courts bisected by a double row of bleacher seats all sitting on an elevated concrete concourse. So, replicating that was another joy.

In sum, this stadium likely has less compromise in terms of trying to match the real venue because it just so happened that many of the props so closely matched the real deal. Putting that with precisely measured baseline, backstop, and outfield wall panel settings makes this about as close a replication of an actual venue that I've been able to pull off.

Alex Rodriguez Park

Alex Rodriguez was offered a full ride scholarship to play baseball at Miami. But, like a lot of top flight high school players, he opted instead to sign his contract with the Seattle Mariners, and the rest is history.

Being the first overall pick made the choice easy and his career achievements validated the choice. That said, the New York native always had a soft spot in his heart for the Hurricanes, and so a massive pile of money resulted in a renovation of the college venue and they named the new stadium for him.

I tried to replicate many of the actual aspects of the stadium and the surrounding area, including the elevated rail lines running parallel to the first base line. Being able to make the baselines match the actual park made the surrounding buildings and trees mesh up so much more accurately than being forced into the jewel box default.

English Field

The home to the Virginia Tech Hokies baseball team. The venue is frankly very low on the number of actual seats and instead uses a ton of grassy hills with low lying stone fences that are just low enough to provide a stone seating surface for folks to use to watch the game. I would imagine in real life that soon wears on one's hind quarters!

This virtual model replicates the real venue's foul grounds. It is playable in MLB 25 and earlier releases. Uploaded to the vault.

Swayze Field

Home to the Ole Miss University baseball team, and widely considered one of the very best collegiate baseball venues in the world. This virtual copy uses the customized foul grounds option to precisely replicate the layout of the real park, and also tries to replicate the setup of the box seats as well as the upper deck seat ring.

For a collegiate ballpark, the seating is quite robust, featuring a field level, mezzanine, plaza, and upper deck. The Ole MIss Rebels have enjoyed many games where the paid attendance exceeded 10,000!

The real park features unique recessed concessions underneath the mezzanine seating deck down the two baselines and this virtual model tries to replicate that also. If that's not enough to offer, the real park has two well designed hillside standing-seating sections behind the left and right field fences.

The way it is used in the real world is the area behind right field is for students while the one behind left field is for those alumni who enjoy taking their kids out for a combination picnic and baseball game. It's a really cool setup. Frankly, as an NC State alumnus, I'm envious of this park and wish my alma mater had something like it to call our home.

The memory was maxed out and devoted almost exclusively on replicating the ballpark layout. Fortunately, due to the real park being nestled in a bowl, there wasn't much need to replicate a complicated outfield vista behind the ballpark itself.
