Trying to revive a 4th gen(?) ipod.
This thing is old and I don't think it's been charged in quite a bit. What are the chances it still works after all this time?

I found it in my drawer with this weird aah cable. No idea how it works honestly. Or if it even works. Can anyone help me here?
I looked it up and it's a 3rd gen ipod that's almost older than me.
Edit:so I waited for the light to turn green, then plugged in some regular old headphones. The thing doesn't turn on. When I plugged sit back in its orange again. Is the battery just dead then?
Edit 2: this thing is dead. I doubt it's going to work again
Not pictured but included: a cap from decathlon, snack bars, chips packet, packed food, plastic water bottle for size, lip balm, a kerchief and a backup, case for glasses, and microfiber cloth for cleaning them.
Portronics Eco glow bolt. Seems to be pretty sturdy so far. I really like the form factor. Battery life 4.5 hours to 1 hour depending on setting (will be testing). Has a plug on the USB c charging port but no waterproofing. Brightness is decent even at lowest setting. Clip is sturdy and grips anything with ease. Button feels good. Initial review, haven't used it long enough to verify lifespan yet.
