I’m fairly new to lure fishing and have been out on the Lancaster canal a couple of times mainly looking for perch or maybe smaller pike with small soft plastic (5cm fox rage) and a thin wire trace. I keep blanking and don’t know whether it’s more to do with my setup or location or maybe how i’m retrieving. Any tips would be massively appreciated and if anyone is familiar with this stretch where are better spots for this sort of fishing.
